Happy Halloween from South Carolina!

Happy Halloween to everyone from SC. We hope everyone has a fun, safe Halloween and gets lots of cavities. Stay tuned for pictures of the Halloween costumes, who was okay wearing them and who wasn't having it. Only one guess as to who threw a fit in her costume...oops, I just gave it away!

Birthday Parties

Again, we would like to wish the babies a Happy 2nd birthday. Man did they have it good; they didn't just have one party, they got to have two parties! We went at lunch time to meet them at school last Wednesday with some "Woggie Cupcakes" for their school party with all their classmates. Then We held a family party at the house on Sunday. Yaya and Poppie had a good time watching the kids rip through their presents including a "Tickle Me Elmo" that Emma is absolutely terrified of. Notice the fear in her eyes in some of the pics in the web gallery when Ian breaks out THE Elmo.

Happy 2nd Birthday babies! We can't believe they are really 2 already. They are getting so big and animated. Oh yeah and let's not forget the attitudes and personalities coming out. Stay tuned for pictures from their birthday "Woggie Cupcake" party at school and their family birthday party this weekend. We will be making a collage of pictures from both parties and posting after the weekend, so don't you go changing that channel!

IKEAM!!!

"WOW!" is about all we could say while watching Emma tear through her ikeam. She was in the zone, with that blank stare on her face. You would have thought it was the last ikeam cone on Earth. Ian was a bit slower at it and made his funny face when the cold ikeam hit his front teeth. We were more concerned about Emma getting the ikeam headache, however, from devouring the cone so fast. Oh and yes, it was everywhere, all over the face and some in the hair. See the cute pictures below, and if you would, please notice the death grip strangle hold Emma has on her cone. There is no one about to pry that cone from her kung fu grip!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend Yaya and Poppy visited to see the kids. It was fairly warm so we weren't able to go outside a whole lot, therefore we decided to all go to Island Playground to find out that we have a couple daredevils on our hands. Emma has absolutely no fear, gets right up there and goes, while Ian is a little more hesitant at first, he does enjoy his thrills. Emma may end up being the crazy goalkeeper like her daddy.

Group Hug!

This past Wednesday, August 26th, was Lila Bean's 1st Birthday. Happy Birthday Lila! The kids all had a great time together as seen in this picture giving Aunt Tushie (Tricia) a group hug. Lila took a liking to Ian reaching for him in some of the pictures. Click on the group hug to go to the web gallery and see the other pictures including some cake pictures.

Potty Pooper!

Potty Poopers
Yes you read that correctly, it reads "Potty Pooper" and not "Party Pooper". However after reading this short story you will be able laugh at the Potty Party Pooper (yes pun intended, double entendre and all that good stuff). This picture is the clean picture of them trying their new potties out for size as soon as they were removed from the box. The potties are actually the latest toy they have and now they don't even like to put their diapers back on after we practice with them (they scream quite frankly).

It seemed rather vulgar to go ahead and put a picture on here of the actual first poop in the potty, so this will suffice and you can take our word for it. After only two days of having the new potties, we were practicing after dinner and Ian said "Poo". He started to stand up and I got him to sit back down as he continued to use the potty for the first time! Yay for Ian!

I have to digress momentarily and tell you that the previous night when returning from school and entering the playroom, there was some cat poop on one of their mats that Ian so eloquently pointed out with an "Uh Oh!". I reiterated for them not to touch it and started exclaiming "Yucky Cat!" so they would know not to touch, etc. (Can you see where this is going, the tension is building I know).

Now that Ian was finished pooping in his new potty, he stood up and turned back around to look and see his new creation that he had never seen before, pointed and...wait for it...exclaimed "Gucky Cat!". We have never laughed so hard! Ian had never seen his own poop before now and the most recent one he had seen was just the night before from one of the cats. In his mind his poop must have closely resembled the cat's poop he just witnessed and though he should punish the cat with a "Gucky Cat!" for going not only on his play mat, but but also in his new potty. Such a cute smart little boy already learning to blame his mischievous deeds on the animals. Let's just hope he doesn't decide to remove his diaper and go on the play mat now to mimic the cats!
