Merry Mimmas Everyone!

Ah yes, Mimmas time again. The kids are having a grand time this year and are very much involved and loving every minute of it. The mall of Savannah had a Mimmas Choo Choo that we had to ride, which of course we had to ride a couple times. We then went to go pick out the Mimmas Tree and the kids loved decorating and directing where each and every ornament needed to be for sheer perfection. Later that night was time to make the Mimmas Cookies. Ian and Emma love to stand in the "help mommy" to help make anything. This time it was to make the Mimmas Cookies. Emma's decorating hand got a little heavy with the red sprinkles, thus leaving little to be found of the cookie after she was done. As usual click on each picture to be redirected to the web gallery of each album. Merry Mimmas everyone!

1st Official Golf Outing...FORE!

We had our first official golf outing and had a great time. The kids love to run on the "Big up" (mounds around the green) and sit in the cart and watch daddy's "Big Hit". They had such a good time they keep saying "golf with daddy?" They made great caddies and there were even a couple funny moments when daddy was over the putt getting ready to hit when someone decided to walk over and grab the golf ball from in front of me and walk away, classic! That would have been great for a funniest home video moment.

Happy Halloween from South Carolina!

Happy Halloween to everyone from SC. We hope everyone has a fun, safe Halloween and gets lots of cavities. Stay tuned for pictures of the Halloween costumes, who was okay wearing them and who wasn't having it. Only one guess as to who threw a fit in her costume...oops, I just gave it away!

Birthday Parties

Again, we would like to wish the babies a Happy 2nd birthday. Man did they have it good; they didn't just have one party, they got to have two parties! We went at lunch time to meet them at school last Wednesday with some "Woggie Cupcakes" for their school party with all their classmates. Then We held a family party at the house on Sunday. Yaya and Poppie had a good time watching the kids rip through their presents including a "Tickle Me Elmo" that Emma is absolutely terrified of. Notice the fear in her eyes in some of the pics in the web gallery when Ian breaks out THE Elmo.

Happy Birthday Babies!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday babies! We can't believe they are really 2 already. They are getting so big and animated. Oh yeah and let's not forget the attitudes and personalities coming out. Stay tuned for pictures from their birthday "Woggie Cupcake" party at school and their family birthday party this weekend. We will be making a collage of pictures from both parties and posting after the weekend, so don't you go changing that channel!

IKEAM!!!

"WOW!" is about all we could say while watching Emma tear through her ikeam. She was in the zone, with that blank stare on her face. You would have thought it was the last ikeam cone on Earth. Ian was a bit slower at it and made his funny face when the cold ikeam hit his front teeth. We were more concerned about Emma getting the ikeam headache, however, from devouring the cone so fast. Oh and yes, it was everywhere, all over the face and some in the hair. See the cute pictures below, and if you would, please notice the death grip strangle hold Emma has on her cone. There is no one about to pry that cone from her kung fu grip!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend Yaya and Poppy visited to see the kids. It was fairly warm so we weren't able to go outside a whole lot, therefore we decided to all go to Island Playground to find out that we have a couple daredevils on our hands. Emma has absolutely no fear, gets right up there and goes, while Ian is a little more hesitant at first, he does enjoy his thrills. Emma may end up being the crazy goalkeeper like her daddy.

Group Hug!

This past Wednesday, August 26th, was Lila Bean's 1st Birthday. Happy Birthday Lila! The kids all had a great time together as seen in this picture giving Aunt Tushie (Tricia) a group hug. Lila took a liking to Ian reaching for him in some of the pictures. Click on the group hug to go to the web gallery and see the other pictures including some cake pictures.

Potty Pooper!

Potty Poopers
Yes you read that correctly, it reads "Potty Pooper" and not "Party Pooper". However after reading this short story you will be able laugh at the Potty Party Pooper (yes pun intended, double entendre and all that good stuff). This picture is the clean picture of them trying their new potties out for size as soon as they were removed from the box. The potties are actually the latest toy they have and now they don't even like to put their diapers back on after we practice with them (they scream quite frankly).

It seemed rather vulgar to go ahead and put a picture on here of the actual first poop in the potty, so this will suffice and you can take our word for it. After only two days of having the new potties, we were practicing after dinner and Ian said "Poo". He started to stand up and I got him to sit back down as he continued to use the potty for the first time! Yay for Ian!

I have to digress momentarily and tell you that the previous night when returning from school and entering the playroom, there was some cat poop on one of their mats that Ian so eloquently pointed out with an "Uh Oh!". I reiterated for them not to touch it and started exclaiming "Yucky Cat!" so they would know not to touch, etc. (Can you see where this is going, the tension is building I know).

Now that Ian was finished pooping in his new potty, he stood up and turned back around to look and see his new creation that he had never seen before, pointed and...wait for it...exclaimed "Gucky Cat!". We have never laughed so hard! Ian had never seen his own poop before now and the most recent one he had seen was just the night before from one of the cats. In his mind his poop must have closely resembled the cat's poop he just witnessed and though he should punish the cat with a "Gucky Cat!" for going not only on his play mat, but but also in his new potty. Such a cute smart little boy already learning to blame his mischievous deeds on the animals. Let's just hope he doesn't decide to remove his diaper and go on the play mat now to mimic the cats!

WOOO HOOO! Free at Last, Free at Last!!!

Look ma, no hands! No clothes either, hahaha! Aren't those the cutest set of cheeks you ever did see? What you can't see in this picture is the smoke coming up from the rug, he is running around so fast. I don't know if we are going to have a sprinter or streaker on our hands; that is the all glass front door he is running towards. Daddy's proud son! Did someone sneak him a cup of Caw Caw?

I don't wanna grow up...I'm a big kid now!

It's amazing how big the chiren are getting. They look like little kids now and not little babies anymore. So sad! I may be a little biased, but I'd say that they are some beautiful people!

That is the sound they like to make when blowing or giving kisses and how sweet it is. What lovable children. Doesn't it just melt your heart and make you wanna squeeze 'em? Precious little babies and the picture says it all!

Summer Fun!

Summer is definitely here!  With blazing temperature and raging humidity, from all the rain we have had the past month, I would say that summer is here with a vengeance.  Whoever made up this "April showers" is full of it.  Needless to say, the best place to run to when it gets hot is straight for the pool.

Attack of the Clones!

Well, the results are in and it is official.  We have successfully cloned the first human beings in the United States.  I have been looking for these baby pictures of us, knowing they were packed away in a box somewhere and we finally found them.  Uncanny resemblances here wouldn't you say.  That's all I have to say about that!

Training for the Belmont Stakes

The kids have been working diligently, training night and day putting in lots of hours, to have their legit shot at the Belmont Stakes.  And we should disclose that they really wanted all of this tough, rigorous training, thus we are not like those pageant mom's and dad's or running a sweat shop or anything like that.  Disclosure out of the way, Ian wanted to control the start of the race (maybe to grant himself a little head start), so he said to start at the toss of the green bucket.  On your mark, get set...enjoy!

And the winner is...Drum roll please...

Congratulations to Grandma Paula for submitting the winning caption.  Sorry Kristi Wheat, you can share in the glory of choosing the winning caption as well; however, Grandma Paula beat you to the trigger. Thank you everyone for participating, this was fun and we look forward to the next photo we can put up for our next contest.  Hallmark has been knocking at the door and begging to get their hands on this photo, but we are holding out for a bigger offer.

Priceless Photography!

WOW! is about all I can say.  I can't believe how much fun it looks like they are having.  Don't let them fool you, they are just trying to hold back their smiles and elation.  Momma took them to a photo shoot while down in Florida and this lady takes AMAZING pictures...that is when the subjects are cooperating.  But as you can see she takes great pictures even at times of adversity.

We are going to have fun with this one to see how many people respond.  We will have a contest to see who comes up with the best caption for this picture below.  We will review all of them and the one we like best we will post on our blog above the picture.  Come on everyone let's get creative and see how many entries we can get...

Belated Easter Egg Hunt

I apologize this is late; I have been having issues with my laptop at work (where I usually post) and haven't been able to update posts.  Here is a little video montage of the kids at the Lowcountry's Largest Easter Egg Hunt held annually in Bluffton on the Bluffton High School football field.  There were thousands of people there, yes you heard me right, thousands.  It was their first Easter egg hunt and Emma grabbed the concept immediately and ran with it.  Ian, however, was content with the one blue egg he found and could have walked around with it all day if we let him.  We did go to two other Easter egg hunts, if you would click on Emma's tushy to the right to go to our web gallery, you will be able to see pictures of them.  Once there look for the Habersham and Oldfield Easter egg hunts.  Enjoy!

Ride that Daddy, Daddy...

The chiren are always climbing on legs and bouncing around as if they have put a quarter into the side of our knees and expect to get a ride out of them. You can see they don't take to kindly to the ride stopping either. Let's just hope the joints can hold up to all of the hyper-extensions going on.

New Babysitter

We have hired a new babysitter to help Ali out on the weekends while I have to work. He comes highly recommended, you can just leave the kids with him and they are happy all day. You just take the cushions down and cover the floor to catch their fall and Uncle Couch will do the rest to keep them busy. The best part of this is when Ian sees me getting ready to make coffee at the end, he runs over to make it with me and takes a dive off Uncle Couch. Good thing the cushions were there!

Uncle Couch

I'm Dancin'...I'm Dancin'

Next up on "So You Think You Can Dance", Ian and Emma. These two are the funniest when they hear music. Ian pushes all the buttons on his little music play table and does some dirty dancing, gyrating his hips all around like Shakira, while Emma likes to wiggle back and forth. Silly kids!

Dancing Babies

Caw?...Caw?

Ian is still on first syllables and can't complete some words like Caw..ffee. So the only thing that comes out, no matter what time of day or night he wants daddy to make coffee, is Caw?...Caw? He looks up, points in the general vicinity of the espresso machine and asks Caw? to see if daddy can go make some coffee even at night when I get home from work. It doesn't matter whether it would keep me awake all night, only that he would like to make some again. This is a daily ritual with us and he gets quite upset if I am not ready for coffee when he is.

Back to School...Back to School...

You have to be an Adam Sandler fan to get that very obscure movie reference sorry for that. Good news, starting May 4th the babies will be off to the Church of the Cross School. We are excited as it will no longer be simply day care, rather more of an education curriculum now. And the babies can now get over there extreme case of daycare they have had for the past year and stop getting momma and dadda sick too!

Magic Orange Juice

Well, here we go; we now have two mobile babies. I think it is official that all hell is going to break loose in the Tucker house. We have been trying to get Emma to walk for some time now and have even had to take her to a couple PT sessions for what they called "low tone" (low muscle tone in her legs). I think it was more of a confidence issue since she is miss scaredy pants. We gave the babies some o.j. this morning for the first time and it seems that it comes with magic powers. After a couple sips and a little coaxing, it was off to the races with her. Enjoy the video, we sure have.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!

Just a little bloggin from the mama to say Happy 35th Birthday to Daddy (or as the munchkins call him dadadadadaa, da, or general whining and pointing in his direction which still gets his attention)... We hope you have a great birthday (even though you're sick..)

Oldfield Member Spotlight

Every month Olfield does a member spotlight for new members who have just moved into the community. Since we JUST moved in three years ago, I guess it is fitting that we should make the member spotlight now; yeah it makes sense to me too. They are doing a little write up about us, yada yada yada, (I just yada yada'ed past the good stuff)! When the Oldfield magazine comes out next month I will scan it and add to the blog.

Lila Bean

We would like to introduce niece/cousin Lila Elizabeth Weis at 5 months and 13.5 lbs.  We didn't introduce her earlier due to a rough start.  There were some troubles at birth causing a collapsed lung leading to a lack of oxygen and some seizures.  Two hospital changes later and they got little miss cutie patootie all fixed up and as you can see she is doing great.

Walk About

Well, again we have reached another milestone. Ian is officially walking. A couple of nights ago it just clicked with him. He was toying with the idea of letting go of objects and taking a few steps and then dive-bombing onto whatever was closest (usually the hardwood floor). Now he has realized that it is definitely easier to get from A to B by just letting go and taking to the street. We find him just randomly walking around the room now like he is lost (knowing he is a little man and won't stop to ask for directions).

Ian Walking

Emma is so close. She has actually gone through the progression from crawling to standing and attempting to walk faster than Ian did. Ian is the pioneer, while Emma sits back and watches him do all the hard work; then she perfects it! She works smarter not harder. Brilliant girl after her daddy's own heart.

Emma Standing

The kids are becoming more and more fun everyday.  Ian is getting more confident with letting go and just taking off and walking, whereas he was a little hesitant before.  He is in a dive bomb phase after a couple steps, which seems to be very fun for him.  You will be able to see this midway through the video, all while trying to be a camera hog as usual.

Emma sees her brother getting all the attention from the walking he is doing and wants a piece of the action now.  She stands and hits us to let us know she is doing so; "Hey look at me!".  I just need to teach her to hit all the boys in the same manner to fend them off.  We have already taught her to say "no, no, no", to the boys, while shaking her finger side to side but that is for another video.  She loves a big fuss to be made of her as you can see.  Enjoy, we have been!

Take a peak...I dare ya!

Emma says "Take a look just beneath our profile labeled 'About Us' and you will find a picture of me titled, 'Tucker Family Web Gallery'."  "Click on my tushy and you can follow me to our new web gallery where all of our Tucker Family photos are located."  For obvious reasons we don't download every image we have, yet you will be able to see them all in our gallery and even download the ones of your choosing if you would like.  This is especially great for the grandparents that wish to print out every single one to wallpaper their entire office, but I won't mention any names YaYa Reid don't worry.

Post Christmas/New Year

Christmas has come and gone and a new year is upon us.  How fast the kids have grown; just as everyone told us.  The house is empty now from the Holidays and the kids miss everyone and all the attention they received.  If I didn't know any better I would say that they prefer that everybody move in with us so that everyone is at their disposal at ALL times.

We look forward to what surprises and shining moments we happen to capture in the New Year, and to all the trips and many visitors to come.  Many thanks to everyone who had a hand in helping us through the past year, we appreciate it and will most likely hit you ALL up for it again!

Where'd Everyone go?

Norman Rockwell Christmas Morn

Ahh Christmas morn.  Technically this is the babies' second Christmas, however they slept through the first one being only 2 months old and all.  The babies loved their presents and having a house full of company to spoil them and hold them all the day long.  Their favorite gift...the big red wagon.  They cry to go outside ALL the time now to go for a ride in their wagon.

First Hair Cut

Just before Christmas we went to Florida to visit MiMi Bette, Auntie Tricia, Uncle Nathan and Lila Bean.  While there, we decided that Ian needed to be removed of his mullet, thus leading us to his first hair cut. He did very well and sat there quietly wondering what we were doing to him.  He did at one point think about crying, but only stuck his bottom lip out and pouted for a second.  Daddy leaned in and gave him a pep talk and he was back to normal.  Just look at that face...how could you not love him?
