Week 28.5 - Yellow Brick Road

Well last night we were off to see the wizard again due to many contractions. They kept her to monitor her for a while and then around 3 this morning they decided to put her back on the magnesium to tone down the contractions. They said they didn't feel she was going into labor but wanted to tone them down as they did before when we were there for about 2 wks. They also gave her a shot of steroids to help with the development of the babies' eyes and lungs. This shot can only be given once and they like to have it in the system at least a week before anything goes down so since she is this far along they decided to go ahead and stick her. Now my wife is on the juice; I hope she doesnt get roid rage! She will be in for at least 2 days for the magnesium like before but who knows right now it could be longer. Stay tuned for updates...

Week 28 - Nursery Time

We finally have our furniture for the Nursery (Ali would like for me to add that it is undecorated of course) which subsequently covers every square inch of every wall in the room. Ali seems to think that I am nesting since she cannot and I was up until 4 am Sunday morning to set these up. And you thought cribbage was just a card game. Take a look at the video and you will get a better idea. Please put your seat backs and tray tables to their full upright position, sit back relax strap on your seat belt and keep your arms and hands inside the vehicle at all times!

Our star soccer player, Pro golfer and little ballerina are all doing well and still cooking. We want at least 2 more weeks to get to 30 wks, however the longer they cook the better tan they will come out with. We go back in for another weigh-in at the week 30 mark, that is if Ali doesn't get called to the front of the class to soon again. The day that I am shooting for (like I have anything to do with this or even have the slightest say in this matter) is Nov. 1st. Why Nov. 1st you ask? Well let me tell you...for one it is our wedding anniversary and the coolest of all reasons is that Nov. 1st will be 33 wks and 3 days. I dont see a better day to celebrate the birth of our triplets than on our anniversary and at 33 wks and 3 days. Now thats a whole lot of 3's in there and you can take that to the bank. Sounds good to me I'll have that!

Week 27 - Super Belly to the Rescue!

I have to say that Chez Finnegan has been a hit and the phones have been ringing off the hook for this famous massage. Unfortunately we cannot take any more appointments as his paws are full and schedule is completely booked with this one client of his demanding all of his time with her SUPER Belly!

Its a bird...its a blimp...no its Super Belly! Strike a pose, you can do it, Vogue. I'm not sure if you can make out the T-shirt that Super belly is wearing but it does read "Expecting Triplets", unfortunately at this time the shirt does not fit as well as it used to so just a little bit of her belly hangs out, not much though. I was looking for a can of Budweiser and a Marlborough Red to paste in her hands and show her walking out of a double wide looking like she is wearing her crop top and her belly hanging out stepping out to get the morning paper.

Week 26 - Spa Day

I paid high dollars for a fabulous day at Chez Finnegan for Ali to get a therapeutic pre-natal belly massage. We told them that the babies were growing well with Baby B continuing to be the Boss Hog at 2.5 lbs, Baby C at 2 lbs and Baby A still the runt at 1.5 lbs. We asked them to pay special attention to Baby A to see if they couldn't stimulate him to grow a little more and catch up to the rest of the field. See the video below for a snippet of her pre-natal massage.

We visit the doctor every Monday for the next four weeks leading up to our monumental 30 wk mark. 30 wks is the 100% survival rate for the triplets which is why we are pulling all the stops to keep those turkeys cooking. We will another weigh in that week to see how they are growing. Stay tuned for the weekly updates. Hope you enjoyed the massage!

Week 25 - GO TIGERS!

HOT OFF THE PRESS! The word on the street is that after the Clemson 24-18 win over FSU and with the tremendous success and demand for the recently added West Zone, it has just been approved to construct yet another addition to Memorial Stadium. It is still in the planning phases, however if you look below you will see an aerial photo of the new proposed dome to be built over Death Valley ("Thunder Dome"). We were excited to hear the great news and wanted to pass the word!

Well it was an ugly finish to a fantastic start but the Tigers got it done (luckily) and finished off a top ranked FSU (Here we come top 25). We are sad that we have to miss this season and the fantastic Marshall tailgates as well as the West Zone but we are happy as to the 3 little reasons for which we are missing this season. I will also miss my two tailgate buddies dearly, Mr. Morgan from the islands and Mr. Mark from Bourbon Kentucky. Dont have too much fun without me boys!
Update: Ali got called to the front of the class again as we had to go to the doctors office yesterday while we were not expected until next Tuesday. I think she just missed seeing her babies kicking and screaming on the monitor. It was cute though because all of them had the hiccups. She had a bunch of activity and contractions this weekend so the doc wanted to check everything. All is good and the oven door is still closed so we are good and the babies can keep cooking for a little while longer. The prayers are working but we still want to make it until at least 30 weeks so we have 5 more to go. Keep 'em coming!
